EV boxes Your mobility starts with a safe charge

What does the standard require?

The ITC-BT-52 regulates charging installations for electric vehicles

ITC-BT-52 requires that “all charging circuits be protected against transient and temporary (permanent) overvoltages.” This protection can be integrated into the charging circuit, next to the charging station or inside it, but it must always be present to ensure the safety of people and equipment.

It defines different installation schemes depending on how the charging point is supplied and how it is integrated into the existing installation.

The solution

Complete protection in a single panel

Standards compliance

Meets the tripping times defined in accordance with UNE-EN IEC 63052, ensuring effective protection against permanent overvoltages and continuity of service

Safety

Type 2 protection against transient overvoltages in accordance with IEC 61643-11 and Class A residual current protection complying with EN 61008-1, EN 61009-1, EN 60947-2 or EN 62423

European quality

Top-grade materials and components of European origin, with responsible and sustainable domestic manufacturing.

Transient (Type 2) and permanent (POP) surge protector

Meeting tripping times is key

The UNE-EN IEC 63052 standard (formerly 50550) specifies the maximum operating times in response to permanent overvoltages.

Complying with them prevents damage to the electric vehicle charger, extending its service life, reduces the risk of overheating in the installation and ensures continuity of service, avoiding nuisance tripping due to brief voltage variations.
