In recent years, counterfeit versions of our nimbus® lightning rods have proliferated in certain markets. These are aesthetically accurate copies that do not, however, meet any of the strict regulatory specifications, posing a serious risk to the safety of the installation.
Security in the authentication of nimbus®
Cirprotec is the first manufacturer to offer an easy system that allows you to verify the authenticity of its nimbus® lightning rods, confirming their quality before installation.
Each nimbus® quality check lightning rod has a QR code laser-engraved on its body, which, when scanned with a smartphone equipped with a QR app, can confirm its authenticity quickly and easily.
The serial number of each nimbus® lightning rod is encoded in a QR code linked to the manufacturer’s website. It is encoded with an irreversible key, ensuring that the links cannot be falsified.
With this process, the customer purchasing a nimbus® lightning rod can be assured that they are buying a reliable and durable product on all levels:
