V-CHECK range is a range of innovative protectors that are the result of research work carried out in conjunction with utilities. This is the first protector to combine transient and temporary overvoltage protection in the same device.
Transient overvoltage
These are very high voltage peaks of very short duration which can damage equipment connected to the electrical installation, mainly caused by lightning strikes and network switching.
Temporary Overvoltages
These are voltage increases of tens of volts normally due to umbalance in the neutral point. From the point of view of the power supply, our electricity supply network is formed by a three-phase sustem with three compensated phases.
A fourth conductor called the Neutral is used for compensation or as a common point for devices connected to the supply network.
An accidental neutral fault leads to a voltage drop in the phases with the highest load and an increase in voltage above that which can be withstood in the phase in with the lowest load.
Use of these protectors is vital in areas where constant cuts in the electricity supply occur and where ther are fluctuations in the voltage supplied by the electricity company.
