TELEPHONE LINES
Electronic equipment connected to telephone lines are very sensitive and they do withstand a very low voltage. CPT solutions are available for formats such as DIN rail, aerial, KRONE type and 19" Rack.
All the equipments connected to any type of telephone lines, whether RTC, ADSL, PP or RDSI, must be protected due to the fact that they are very sensitive, with very low surge withstand capacity. Operating voltage of this kind of lines do not normally exceed one hundred volts.
Many installations include data transmission equipment such as modems, fax, telecom switches, etc. Telephone line constitute a weak entry point to transient overvoltages due to the reason that these lines only have one subscriber for each line and all the inductions will be divided between the telecom operator and the installation enhancing the damage possibility of the equipments connected.
